The Bothy
The Bothy is a stand alone small two story cottage standing in the grounds of Kennox House some 80 meters from the main house, directly facing onto the Glazert Burn.
It consists of a living/ kitchen area and Showeroom WC on the ground floor and a bedroom on the upstairs level complete with 2 single beds that can be zipped together to form a king size bed depending on the sleeping configuration required.
The living area has a small wood burning stove, smart TV with built in DVD player, Digital radio, WiFi and a we selection of books should you want to just switch off from the internet and settle in front of a crackling wee stove with feet up and head in a book.
You’ll always be toasty and have oodles of hot water in The Bothy even if you don’t have the wee stove fired up, curtesy of our very efficient biomass central heating system
The Kitchen has an electric oven, microwave, electric table top hob, fridge freezer and coffee pod machine.
Step outside the Bothy through the stable door onto a huge terrace area, almost 150 square meters, of outdoor and covered seating areas. As well as an Italian style outdoor kitchen, there is a central fire pit that doubles as a BBQ for large groups, a wood fired pizza oven, a built in masonry BBQ, small sink, fridge and a wine chiller. The area has plenty of outside standing room, garden furniture and a dining table and chairs. There is also a gorgeous covered Barn area with lounge seating and lighting.
We also have a wood fired hot tub which is a fun way to unwind. Load up some logs in the burner, wait until the water is heated to your desired level, turn on the bubbles & lights and soak away!
